Controller Area Network (CAN) Adapter

The CAN1B adapter provides CAN protocol support on all MT2500 and MTG2500 scanners.  This in-line adapter connects between the existing data cable and OBD-II or DL-16 connector.  Proprietary CAN protocols differ by manufacturer and utilize different wiring to the OBD-II connector on the vehicle.  The CAN1B supports the use of Personality Keys, providing advanced communication with the latest systems.

The CAN1B is required for CAN vehicles when using VIN-specific Domestic, Asian or European software of your Snap-on scan tool.  The adapter can be used with the Global OBD Vehicle Communication Software on MODIS™, SOLUS™ and Scanner™ units.
